Facilities

ARL Bio Pharma occupies approximately 44,000 square feet of state of the art laboratory and office space at the Research Park in Oklahoma City. The laboratories are housed in a modern facility which has designated areas for centralized functions, e.g. offices, sample receiving and storage, chemical and reagent storage, autoclaving, chemical analysis and biological analysis. Fume hoods, biological hoods, eye wash stations, showers, fire extinguishers and first aid kits are located throughout the laboratory to facilitate health & safety requirements.

Facility access is controlled by employee issued magnetic badges that permit and track access to the facility, as well as secondary security via traditional lock and key.  In addition, the facility is monitored 24/7 by security cameras.

Incoming air in relation to sterility testing suites is filtered through HEPA filters and is maintained under positive pressure to reduce potential biological contamination. Sterility testing suites are monitored for temperature, humidity, pressure and both viable and non-viable particulate matter. Procedures for gowning qualifications and personnel / environmental monitoring are strictly followed. (View ARL's Clean Room)

The monitoring and recording of temperature and humidity in the laboratory, including incubators, stability chambers, refrigerators and freezers is accomplished via data loggers connected to a remote monitoring system with 24/7 excursion notification.

All incubators, stability chambers, refrigerators, freezers and servers are connected to the buildings emergency management system (EMS). In the event of a power outage the EMS will run the aforementioned equipment continuously. Individual PC’s and analytical equipment are connected to standalone APC units that regulate both surges and brownouts and allow for limited power backup.
